Yesterday Jackson suggested what he saw as a simple solution to our problems. He was admiring a little baby while he, David and I were out during some rare family time and he turned to us and said, "Maybe we should just buy another baby."

What do you say to something like that? We realized that we had to find a way to better include Jackson in Sam's life at the hospital. He has not been able to visit due to hospital policy. But, today, I was able to convince the doctor to "bend" the rules and now Jackson can visit Sam in his room at any time.
